Good dentistry depends on skill and judgment first. The right equipment supports both: it helps us see more clearly, plan more precisely, treat more gently and keep every instrument clean. Below is an overview of the technology at E&D Dental, grouped by what it does for you. Each section links to a dedicated page that explains how the technology works, when we use it and what it means for your treatment.
Seeing clearly: diagnosis and planning
Low-dose 3D CBCT imaging
Our HDX/HBX cone-beam CT produces three-dimensional images of the teeth, jawbone, nerves and sinuses with a low radiation dose. It is central to planning digital guided implants, assessing impacted wisdom teeth and evaluating the jaw joint.
Q-ray intraoral camera
This camera can highlight plaque biofilm, early cavities and cracks that are hard to see with the naked eye. Because images appear on screen, it also helps us explain findings to you directly. Seeing the problem for yourself makes it easier to understand why treatment is recommended, or why it can safely wait.
Implant precision and stability
AnyCheck implant stability testing
AnyCheck measures how firmly an implant is held in the bone. These readings help guide decisions about when an implant is ready to receive its crown, rather than relying on a fixed timetable alone. Measurements can be repeated during healing to track progress.
UV implant surface activation
A UV generator treats the implant surface immediately before placement. UV activation is intended to support the bond between implant and bone during healing.
Comfort during treatment
Computer-controlled anesthesia
A computer-controlled device delivers anesthetic at a slow, steady rate, which is designed to reduce the pressure that makes injections uncomfortable. It is the third step of our 3-step painless anesthesia system, alongside topical gel or gargle anesthesia and Endo-Frost cold numbing, and is paired with electric-stimulation anesthesia.
Saving natural teeth
UC ONE ultrasonic endodontics
During root canal treatment, UC ONE uses ultrasonic activation of the irrigating solution to help clean the complex inner anatomy of the root canals, supporting thorough disinfection.
Safety and infection control
UV-C sterilization and infection control
A portable UV-C handpiece sterilizer adds a further layer of hygiene to our standard sterilization procedures for instruments used in the mouth.
Patient vital-sign monitoring
During surgery and longer procedures, a monitor tracks vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate. This reflects our attention to whole-body health, especially for older adults and patients with chronic conditions.
Other equipment at the clinic
- TMJ physical therapy device – supports cell regeneration and helps reduce pain and inflammation in the jaw joint; also used to aid recovery after extractions and implant surgery. See TMJ physical therapy.
- KFDA-approved whitening device – used for in-clinic professional teeth whitening.
- Smart sensor surgical light – provides clear, focused illumination for precise work.
Technology with a purpose
We do not use equipment for its own sake. Each device is there because it helps us diagnose more accurately, explain more clearly or treat more safely and comfortably. If you have questions about any technology used in your treatment, just ask, or book a consultation through our contact page.
